Well since my last entry, I have been a bit busy; I have carded and spun some alpaca yarn, then plied it... it is super chunky and reeeeeally soft. I carded and felted some of the shorter caramel coloured pile too, as yet I have to decide how to use it. I finally got round to using up an old wool jumper that had got felted in the washing machine and made a wee pair of slippers, plans are afoot for more felty projects. I've made a whole batch of alpaca yarn booties for the lovely Emma at Moorview Alpacas…suuuuper cute. I have also finished a commissioned pair of neon pink dragon boots with a teeny loop stitch for scales which I think looks fabulous. I have also got a bag of Valais Blacknose wool which I'm currently carding, it's all picked and the really grubby bits washed, I'm going to spin the rest 'in the grease'. there's alot of it and now I have a bag of goooorgeous alpaca too. Some of which will be used to make little needle felted animals. I have also completed 2 teeny tiny top hats, and a crown which my little tester seems pretty pleased with. |
